Operation The equipment utilizes kinetic energy to accomplish dish collection through the principle of impact. The contaminated gas stream is accelerated through a venturi shaped throat section and resulting reaching velocities between 9000 and 24000 feet per minute. Water introduced ahead of the throat is atomised by the high velocity gas stream and dust particles collide itself and turned into tiny droplets.
The water laden gas moves through a flooded elbow before entering the cyclonic separator tangentially where droplets are removed by centrifugal force and impigement.
Clean, droplet free air passes through the separator outlet and thus slurry is drained off from the bottom.
